I sometimes worry that I can't fill the time but all too soon I realize that I have run out of time. Kind of all over the place but in the grand scheme of things it all comes together.
Are you a prof at RIT? I love Daguerrotype, used to live near the new Ghetty in Brentwood, LA, CA and they had some of it there.

Went there in the 80's. Might think about teaching there in the future. I got talked into a lecture series, well I guess they didn't have to push to hard, but its about my work not necessarily photography in general.

The D&C did a photography shoot and story of my autistic son Jared last year. They chose it as one of the 12 best shoots of the year and featured Jared in their yearly calendar for 2007. The entire story was up on their site at one point a few weeks ago. This shot of Jared's eye close up is really nice.
A few years ago the D&C (Sundays Arts Section) did a story about me and a project I shot of my youngest son. He is a cancer survivor who lost an eye to a rare from of the disease.

I snapped this shot in Connecticut on Christmas Eve about 10 years ago. It was a damp window pane, kind of foggy from the moist outside and the scene was all woodsy and snowy but occluded through the foggy window. I just love that shot and your photo of the girl in the woods reminds me of that. Life is sometimes like that, occluded.

He had gotten there first and when I stormed in we both looked at each other and looked the other way – we both were expecting the opposite. He was waiting for a mouse to arrive in the house (you really had the impression of mousey?) and I had expected a much older, much more gruff and rough. I was completely shocked to meet a polished, youthful & hip ghost that was hot – boy, I was so off on that one! I am usually pretty good with this sense – I am totally proven wrong! I am still shaking my head over this!
I sat at the table behind him and waited till you came in – he heard us mention his name and then that was it – instant laughter till the place closed. I sent over the pictures to both of you – check your mail. The memory is officially documented and waiting for you both.

I've always wanted to recreate this show "Northern Exposure." I even travelled to the spot where they filmed it north of Seattle. I think you two quirky characters should be recruited for my created village. We'll call it "Upstate Exposure" and Ghost should get a kick outta that since he's a photographer (exposure).

KC, dahling, don't EVEN get me started on the 2nd amendment. We will not find common ground on that I'm afraid. 1. How is killing an animal with a gun a sport? If you killed it with your bare hands, then maybe I'd consider that a sport because some actual athleticism was used. If you eat the meat you kill and need it for sustenance, I have no problem with hunting. Killing an animal is not a sport. Target shooting? I guess that could be a sport, though a very docile one. 2. The right to bear arms was formulated at a time when our country was a WILDERNESS, not the bucolic serenity we have now (well, most places not counting the inner cities of Rochester and Detroit). Our "well armed militia" is roaming the streets of Rochester at night and keeps me from frequenting it at night as a result. 3. I adore you anyway even though you're completely wrong! :) LOL! I think I need to agree with k:'s history on the issue of firearms. I do believe that she owns for home protection. Protection from what I'm not sure. Implied threats from media hype or perhaps the war is coming over here from over there. I grew up with lots of firearms in the home and have to say that I refrain from following suit in my own home.
That being said I'm sure I felt some heat under k:'s jacket while a hug was taking place. Shoulder holster, Dirty Harry style, the works.

Jerri – How can you believe those odds?– What, it can never happen to you?
I lived in the city alone for years as a young woman, never had a problem. I lived in an upstairs apartment without shades for years – didn’t need them, also never locked my doors! - Still, never had a problem! But – Since I have moved here, (I do live in a very nice neighborhood) I have had my vehicles broken in to 4 to 5 times and had an awful break in, very intrusive, and quite memorable burglary – it was quite an invasion that I will never in this life time forget! It has been several years since and still to this day bothers me that someone was in my home rifel-ing through my personal belongings and helped them selves to what ever they wanted, in addition to the damage they did to get in – it was/is quite an invasion to get over.

I took stats at UCLA, and it trained me well. Plus, I live in freakin' Churchville, where EVERYONE'S packin' heat and my next door neighbors have my back. What happened to you is HORRIBLE and I understand where you're coming from now. If it happened to me I'd likely do the same thing. However, guns freak me OUT. I can't stand it when one is pointed at me on the tv screen in a show. Ugh! Cops make me nervous because they carry those guns on their hips and I'm thinking, "if this guy goes off his rocker, he's loaded." Aagh! I am not blaming you nor trying to change you. I am simply not there in my life and I hope never to be. With a disabled son in the home it would be supremely irresponsible for me to have a firearm because he never will be able to tell the difference between a real gun and a toy gun. For that reason, my kids are not allowed to own any toy guns. I cut off the guns on the tiny little toy soldiers. I finally this year allowed my boys to have plastic swords (actually my husband did that against my policy, but I compromised). It sounds as if the gun makes you feel in control of your safety and that is fine. Did you go to therapy after the incident? If not, maybe you should for one or two sessions.

On a much lighter note – I am once again invading your space and on my way to Brighton. We are on our way to Aja Noodle at your 12 corners – we frequent this place at least 3 to 4 times a month – love it! I have to write two columns and prepare for a podcast, all due Tuesday and Wednesday to the D&C. I must have music. I like all sorts of genres, but mainly rock. I have considered moving to Brighton – was looking at a house a month or 2 ago – off Winton – your taxes are less and I am there for one thing or another each and every day.
I want your wifes #, I want to hang out with her - we both like Aja Noodle and you are are now dancing on the few patience I seem to have left. Indeed, it will be your loss if we unite and leave your ass in the dust!
Lastly, who mentioned “Born Again” - I can’t remember or think straight – Anyway, I got it right the first time around.

You are exhausting me. What do you want? An invitation for Easter Dinner? It is my Holiday to host; how did you know that? Absolutely, I would love that! We really do not make it a big religious thing (although we know it is) – we get together to be together. We begin with many appetizers, then I serve the traditional Prime Rib with about a gazillion side dishes, and we all consume an array of fine sprits. We then fight over the couches and rest – then – I put the coffee on and we get a second wind and have about 50 different desserts – sound good? The more the merrier – come around 3ish, ok? Bring the family and your appetites. I always insist everyone take food home too. Guaranteed good time here at the ranch.

I've traced the roots of my oldest's vegetarianism. When small we visited a peeting zoo and came across two large hogs. After a long pause he asked me what their names were. To which I replied, Bacon and Sausage.
