The new video rating system on the Democrat and Chronicle's annex site RocMen features the the choices of Its the shit or Its crap complete with scatological icons. I find this rather amusing coming from the same flagship that discourages such language enforced, (censored), by some of the Blogfraus. I imagine it's just an intern having some html fun while no one is looking, except me. 
I read the code so you dont have to. And oh yeah, Gangsta Rap is the shit.

Monkey we really appreciate your initiative, and observation. I myself would like to avail myself of this feature by posting a rant on the election results. I hope to get a 5 Shit rating. I only have 1 problem, I am a woman. Would Rocmen bar me from submitting?
I know the D&C doesn't like fornicating chicken, that I know.
I am a rocmom come over there and I will give a 6 shit star rating.
The poor kid, Mark the Intern, isnt even learning anything. He changed "It's the Shit" to "It Rocks". If someone gave a shit about marketing the brand they created they would have changed to "It Rocs".
This is basic stuff, is anyone paying attention?
Everyone wants to be unique, original and edgy.... Little Mark is no exception. Everyone wants to be a Star......If George Carlin became famouse with 7 words you can't say on television, why can't our Little Guy from Rochester be made famous with a "shit" rating. The obvious problem is he is using other peoples material in an untimely fashion. Branding concepts, completely blow by this guy.........Maybe he should take a seminar from Ruth Thaler (Brightons Blogger for the D&C). She has converted the Brighton Blog into a freelance writers seminar advertising page. She also takes Story ideas 4 day later from wise bloggers, then craetes a new entry 7 days later. After admonishing the contributor. Oh well, fame is a fickle mistress. And the D&C has confused willingness with intellect.
